The Legends of Our Time Male Svata Tzingane (The Storytelling Kit) The rank of Svata is filled with bards, lore masters, and those who keep the histories of the Tzingani people alive. This young one falls easily within those ranks, except perhaps for his rather unusual field of study: the stories of the present day. Those familiar with the profession might compare him to a reporter, rather than a librarian; he's always eager to find a new story, to catalogue it for the ages and share it with anyone he thinks should know. Even for one as inexperienced as he, this kit already has a talent for making friends, integrating himself amicably into groups of people, and gleaning the best tales from their conversations. He's very good-humoured, and rarely rocks the boat, even in his pursuit of the truth behind the rumour. And he isn't picky, either; some Svata might stick to only stories of their fellow foxy kin, but he'll just as eagerly take in his bonded's adventure running from an angry Barghest, or how the shopkeeper outsmarted a Vargul. Everything is fair game! Keeping lean and not-so-mean is a great way to sneak into places unnoticed, but he's still young too... Maybe he'll fill out soon enough. He's a handsome shade of foxy red, if you can get a glimpse of it through his thick overcoat of grey. All of his paws, as well as his tail, are tipped with black; it's almost as though he's wearing gloves and boots. Perfect for getting around quietly at night, though unfortunately he still leaves footprints. He's not malicious, and has no desire to use peoples' stories against them. It's just that the best way to get stories is to go unnoticed; people tend to tailor them to their audience, so it's best when they don't know they have one. Perhaps surprisingly, his gift from his parents is a little silver whistle on a black leather cord. No one's ever seen him blow it, but he keeps it polished to a perfect shine nevertheless.
